Terms & Conditions

By downloading, accessing, or using the BUDDI mobile application (“BUDDI”, the “App”), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

You must be at least 13years old to use BUDDI. In some countries the minimum age may be higher; you must meet the minimum age required in your country. If you are a minor in your jurisdiction, you must have your parent or guardian’s permission to use the App. By using BUDDI, you represent that you meet these requirements and that the information you provide is accurate.

BUDDI may offer paid subscriptions (“BUDDI Premium”). Purchases are processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, and are subject to their respective terms.

• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the price shown at the time of purchase.
• Manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple App Store or Google Play account settings. We cannot cancel store-managed subscriptions on your behalf.
• Refunds are handled by Apple or Google according to their policies, except where required by applicable law in India.

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful or harmful purpose.
• Upload content that is illegal, abusive, harassing, infringing, or that violates others’ rights.
• Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or interfere with the App’s systems or security.
• Misuse AI features, or submit content you do not have the rights to submit.

BUDDI uses artificial intelligence to estimate calories, macronutrients, and other nutritional values from photos and inputs. These values are approximate estimates only and may be inaccurate. BUDDI does not provide medical, nutritional, or dietary advice, and is not a substitute for professional guidance. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider before making health decisions. You use AI estimates at your own risk.

You retain ownership of content you submit (photos, meals, messages). By posting content in Groups or social features, you grant BUDDI a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, and display that content for the purpose of operating and providing the App.

You are responsible for the content you share in Groups. We may remove content, or restrict or suspend features, where content violates these Terms or is reported by other users.

BUDDI, including its software, design, logos, and mascot, is owned by Vishal Gupt and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks or branding.

You may stop using BUDDI and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or for any lawful reason. Upon termination, your right to use the App ends, and we may delete your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

The App is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the maximum extent permitted by law.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Vishal Gupt shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or any loss arising from your use of (or inability to use) the App or reliance on AI estimates. Our total liability shall not exceed the greater of the amount you paid for the App in the twelve (12) months before the claim, or USD 50.

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Patna, India.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted with a new effective date and, where appropriate, communicated in the App. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
